The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) 2018 applies to the regulation of ‘personal data’ (any information that relates to an identifiable person). The following document details Body Revival’s privacy policy including what information is collected, why, how it is stored, used, and protected, and the rights an individual has to access, amend, or destroy personal information.

What information do you collect and why?

  • Contact details including name, title, date of birth, address, phone number and email is collected in order to contact you.

Body Revival will never share information provided (other than required by legal process) with another individual, company, or therapist without client’s explicit consent.

How long will you store my information?

  • Body Revival is required to hold information for a period of seven years after last treatment. Once this period ends, records will be destroyed. 

How is my information stored?

  • Personal information is collected via consultation forums during the first appointment and is stored in a locked unit with treatment notes. Contact numbers are held on an iPhone with password protection.

  • Some information (Facebook name and profile) is collected via the Facebook messenger application and pages. Business page access is protected by password access on all electronical devices utilised. 

  • Some information may be collected via www.bodyrevivalstirling.com when creating an account or making a booking including name, address, and date of birth. Other information collected includes location via cookies.

In the event of a data breach, the individual(s) concerned and The Information Commissioner’s Office will be notified without delay.

What are my rights?

  • To be informed of how your personal information is used, collected, and stored.

  • To access your personal data and any other information collected

  • To have personal data corrected if incomplete, inaccurate, or out-of-date

  • To request removal or destruction of personal data where there is no compelling reason for its continued processing

  • To limit how information is used or shared

  • To portability, having your data shared or moved to another company or organisation

  • To make a complaint directly to the Information Commissioner’s Office if  Body Revival’s response to complaint is unsatisfactory (https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/)
